Happy Women's Day!

Photo by: Mohammed Ibrahim Wahid, 2006.

In Afghanistan, as a Muslim country, women are considered to be sacred. But behind this veal of sanctity, they have to face and live with situations worse than animals. This is one of them. A group of women in the body of a truck. Other examples are. They are never called by name, when guests come home they are never allowed to say hello or to show their faces. The worse is that they are called (Kouch), the load on a man's shoulder, instead of being called a life partner who has more than a man to dedicate in a married life. Sacrifices they give in life is twice more than man gives.
