Street Rivers

Photo By: Sulaiman Latifi, April 2011, Kabul, Afghanistan,

Isn't this amazing!. People in other countries pay thousands to go for water surfing, but in Kabul, just pray for rain and go for free surfing in the streets. There is enough water to do anything.

Rules are made to be broken

Photo: Mohammed Ibrahim Wahid,

This is how we break the rules and then complain that Afghanistan has no rules and regulations. Of course it won't have if I drive my car over the boulevard. Let's start a change from ourselves. Don't say What Afghanistan has done for me, ask yourself what you have done for your country.

My Capital!

Photo: M. Ibrahim Wahid.
This is our capital where the president lives. What a nice canalization system. Take the water from the JOY (Canal) with tankers and drop it to the river. 21st century technology. This is typically Afghan. You need boats to sail in the streets or tanker to clean them.

In the 21st century this is unique in Afghanistan. Believe I saw this first time in the north. Imagine what humans can do with the animals. I am sure they are not willing to if they had a tractor to plough. POVERTY and EDUCATION. Let's get together and work for education.
